Division 22 Standards for Public Education

Division 22 Compliance -Cherie Stroud, Director of Teaching and Learning Director (K-12) reported at the January 13, 2020 School Board Meeting that North Marion School District is in compliance with and implemented as required, all of the standards for Public Education and Secondary Schools as set out in OAR Chapter 581, Division 22, including all-new revised rules in the following standards: 1) District Improvement Plan; 2) Policies on Reporting Child Abuse; 3) Diploma Requirements; 4) District Curriculum; and 5) Required Instruction Time.

The School Board approved and accepted the report.

By February 1st of each year, school district superintendents are required by OAR 581-022-2305: Operating Policies and Procedures to report to their communities the district’s standing with respect to all of the Standards for Public Elementary and Secondary Schools as set out in Oregon Administrative Rules Chapter 581, Division 22.
Below is a summary of  North Marion School District 15 compliance with each of the requirements of Oregon’s administrative rules found in DIVISION22 - STANDARDS FOR PUBLIC ELEMENTARY AND SECONDARY SCHOOLS.  For each rule reported as out of compliance, (NMSD has none), the District will provide an explanation of why the school district was out of compliance and the school district’s proposed corrective action plan to come into compliance by the beginning of the 2020-21 school year.
