Want to help your school? It could be as easy as buying Red Vines.
Parent volunteers are asking for donations for an eighth-grade class graduation fundraiser — two concessions tables that will be open during volleyball games and at the first dance of the year. Parent event organizers are looking for donations to be dropped off to be used toward the new concessions tables. They also need volunteers to help run concessions.
Donations for the Concessions Tables: Some donations that parent organizers are looking for include: Red Vines; full-size candy bars; snack bags of chips in different varieties (including spicy); individual snack packs of cookies; granola bars; and drinks, such as Gatorade, bottles of water, and cans of tea and soda. Organizers would like to get everything collected by Oct. 3 in order to run two tables at the upcoming volleyball game on Oct. 5.
Volunteers for the Concessions Tables at Games: Organizers will be needing at least one adult to handle the cash boxes.
Donations for the First Dance: Parents are also looking for donations of the same items as above for the upcoming dance. They’re also seeking some additional items, such as: glow sticks; paper products, such as cups, plates, and napkins; pizza; or money toward these items. These items must be collected by Oct. 11 and will be sold during the first dance on Oct. 13.
Volunteers for the Concessions Tables at the First Dance/Chaperones: Organizers are looking for adults to help run the concessions during the dance, and, of course, the PE department is always looking for chaperones.
By the deadlines listed above, please drop off donations at the front office of North Marion Middle School, 20246 Grim Road NE, Aurora.
Chaperones and volunteers need to have a current criminal history background verification form on file through the District Office and have proof of COVID-19 vaccination or an approved exception form on file.
