This past summer, North Marion MS sent 12 educators to AVID Summer Institute in Seattle Washington for a premier professional learning event.
Participants were able to learn from AVID's top educators and network with colleagues from other schools and districts around the nation to share experiences, collaborate, and plan their campus implementation strategy for the coming year.
AVID's mission is to close the opportunity gap by preparing all students for college readiness and success in a global society. Students at the middle school will receive strategies for organization, focused note-taking and close reading skills. This NMMS Avid Site Team believes all students can learn at high rigorous levels and the AVID Summer Institute definitely provided amazing learning opportunities for them to deliver to students.
