Welcome!

The North Marion School District (NMSD) is a PreK-12 community located in Aurora, a city in the Northern Willamette Valley along I-5, between Salem and Portland.

We are a culturally and ethnically diverse district serving Aurora, Broadacres, Butteville, Donald, Hubbard, and the Woodburn rural area. To learn more about the neighborhoods we serve, click here. North Marion serves about 1,700 students at four schools on one campus: High School, Middle School, Intermediate School, and Primary School. NMSD is known for its supportive and caring community and staff, for whom NMSD is a great source of pride.

NMSD stands at the center of community activities. We are known for our excellent, tech-savvy academic programs, strong services to special needs students, first-rate music program, and outstanding athletic and extracurricular programs.

But we couldn't do it without our dedicated staff working together to provide a warm and caring environment where students can shine. We also couldn't do it without our amazing community. The community supports our schools. Truly.

More than 60% of the voters in our community came together in support of a $42.2 million bond in 2017 that provided upgrades to all four schools, improving the safety, functionality, and appearance of our buildings. There are also active parent groups, school volunteers, and business communities that all contribute to fundraising efforts and hands-on projects.  School district employees and community members work together on a wide variety of projects to benefit students. We also work together to support everyone, sharing resources and ways that we can help each other and raise each other up.  To learn more about our bond process and our success story, click here.
