Housing Insecurity/Foster Care
Who is eligible?
Students who lack a fixed, regular, adequate nighttime residence, including students who live:
- With another family due to loss of housing or economic hardship,
- In a family or youth shelter,
- In a motel or vehicle, or
- In a location that lacks heat or plumbing.
What school can I attend?
Students who qualify for McKinney-Vento may have the option to attend:
- The school they last attended when they had permanent housing;
- The last school they attended; and
- The neighborhood school where they are temporarily living.

- The Marion Polk Food Share mobile food pantry (503-576-3448 or rpeterson@marionpolkfoodshare.org) has two regular sites and time slots each month:
- Rivenes Park in Hubbard from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. every second Wednesday, and
- Pythian Hall in Aurora from 3:30 to 5:30 p.m. every third Wednesday.
