Keeping In Touch

At North Marion, we work hard to keep you up on all of the latest info, using a variety of communication tools.

Parent Square

For all staff and parents who want to receive notifications from your school and school district, please register for ParentSquare, our new communication platform. Visit ParentSquare.com and enter your cell phone number or email address to receive notifications. We use this platform to create emergency alerts, newsletters, emails, text messages, and autodialer calls.

There are three ways a user can register their ParentSquare account:

  • Click activation link in the invitation sent to you via email or text.
  • Sign in to ParentSquare https://www.parentsquare.com/signin using the contact information (email or cell phone number) that matches the data in ParentSquare. Remember, you won't get text messages if you sign using a landline, such as a number from your office at work.
  • Click the link in a post or message.

Users who did not register previously in response to an invitation will be asked to register the first time they click on a link to sign in or sign up. For example, if an unregistered parent/guardian receives a post with parent-teacher conference sign-ups, clicking the link to sign up for the conference will first lead them through the process of registering their ParentSquare account.

Social Media

Building Principals, and key staff members maintain the North Marion School District social media pages. You can share to your own pages using the links at the bottom of each page, and the School District Facebook, Instagram, and YouTube are available at the bottom of the website.

FlashAlert System

If there is an emergency at the North Marion School District, we will alert parents and families immediately through the FlashAlert notification system. Click link here for Current FlashAlert for North Marion School District.  Sign–up details are below.

FlashAlert notifies the public of school emergencies, by feeding directly into local news stations, sending push notifications and email directly to the subscriber’s mobile phone (if signed-up), as soon as decision is made.  In some cases we may make the decision, the night before, or as early as 4 a.m.  To receive instant messaging for school delays, and closure alerts, visit the North Marion FlashAlert page.  To sign up for FlashAlert in your community, visit www.flashalert.net.
