BREAKOUT BOX What is AVID? AVID is a nationwide program that focuses on career and college success. The Middle School opened its own AVID site this past year, a change that included an elective class for seventh-graders last year and an elective class for eighth-graders as of this year. There are also schoolwide resources that essentially sample that class’s content, guiding students in how to perform better on tests and to improve grades with better organization and note taking.
