Staff Appreciation Spotlight: Hooray for Our Nurses

In honor of Staff Appreciation Week, we're going to be showing our appreciation of staff with features all week!

Up until recently, the North Marion School District had one nurse on site, Agnes Albert, BSN, RN. Then the COVID-19 pandemic hit in 2020, and there was a huge spike in frequent guidance updates, policy/procedure updates, staff trainings, COVID-19 testing, contact tracing, and working with the local public health authorities (Marion County Health and Human Services) on top of her usual duties! 

Albert had some support from a terrific nurse working remotely once a week, Sarah Cutsforth, RN. But Albert was feeling overwhelmed. Then … along came Gina Byers, BSN, RN late last year. Albert and Byers have been the dynamic duo on the North Marion campus ever since!
