Staff Appreciation Spotlight: Sara Bailey

Sara Bailey

In honor of Staff Appreciation Week, we're going to be showing our appreciation of staff with features all week!

Here's a riddle! Who has a hand in just about every High School activity but always has a smile on her face?

OK, we concede that there may be more than one answer because so many North Marion people are amazing, but, in this case, we're talking about Art Teacher Sara Bailey.

Bailey is a key figure behind almost everything: Yearbook, May Day, prom, National Art Honor Society, Operation Student Safety on the Move (OSSOM), and probably about 20 other things that we've forgotten to mention.

Even those random inspirational signs ("You're free to be different") taped on the walls in the HS are a Bailey-inspired piece of happiness. Being involved and supporting students with things like those cheery signs are just part of her longstanding effort to bring joy to students and staff alike.

Well, it's working! We have it on good authority that those signs have made more than one person smile! Thanks, Sara! We appreciate all that you do!
