That's All!

Science Teacher Mark John monitored students on the water slide during Field Day at the Middle School on Wednesday.

The 2021-22 school year officially ended on Wednesday!

Students celebrated all over campus (with tacos at the High School). However, the Middle School had one of the biggest happenings of the final day because it was hosting its Field Day, which translated to a morning of fun. Before students took their early release at close to noon, they enjoyed games and activities including badminton, volleyball with an enormous and very squishy ball, soccer, a bouncy house, and an inflatable water slide.

Volunteers and school supporters, including members of the Hubbard Police Department, were on hand for this event, attending other Field Day activities this week as well.

“It’s a great opportunity for kids to feel comfortable coming up to us and talking to us as police officers,” Hubbard Police Chief David Rash said, “so if they do have an issue, they will be able to come up to us and talk to us.”

Yet all was well on Wednesday, a quiet day except for the peals of laughter from the Middle School Field Day activities. Then, the school bell rang one last time, and everything came to an end. It was time to say goodbye to school and hello to summer!

“Every ending is just a beginning in disguise,” Middle School Teacher John Young said.
