AVID Summer Bridge Programs
The AVID Summer Bridge programs had their deadline extended to accept applications by June 30 in the front office of the Middle School, 20246 Grim Road NE, Aurora!
These free programs will provide motivated North Marion sixth-graders and seventh-graders with the opportunity to grow and strengthen math and English language skills. Transportation and meals will be provided!
- The Math Program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon from August 1 to 19 at the Middle School.
- The English Language Development Program will be held from 9 a.m. to noon August 1 to 26 at the Middle School.
The Math Summer Bridge program focuses on core math concepts, numerical fluency, problem solving, and team building.
The English Language Development Summer Bridge program will focus on further strengthening essential skills in reading, writing, and speaking the English language.
The NMMS AVID Summer Bridge programs are designed to meet the needs of all motivated students who wish to choose success and accelerate their academic learning.
These classes are available because North Marion has joined the national program Advancement Via Individual Determination (AVID). When schools partner with AVID, they start a school-wide effort to support increased organizational and note-taking schools and an elective class for motivated students to grow and consider possibilities such as college. There are also incredible options such as AVID Summer Bridge.
