Free Summer Meals 2023

FREE SUMMER MEALS PROGRAM RETURNS IN 2023 PROVIDED BY NORTH MARION SCHOOL DISTRICT

Mondays and Thursdays beginning June 22nd to August 17th

All children 18 and under are eligible for free meals through the federal Summer Break Meal Program.  Any child, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in North Marion Schools, is eligible for a free meal.  No registration or ID is required.  The district has also been granted permission to distribute meals to parents when the child is not present. 

NEW THIS SUMMER:  There are four (4) meal sites that families can visit to receive HOT Meals on Mondays and Thursdays.  Grab and Go meals will be available to pick on the off days for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday meals.  Grab and Go meals contain a fruit, vegetable, grain, meat or meat substitute, and a dairy item.

HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK: 

Mondays - A hot meal will be served, plus Grab and Go meals will be available to take home or pick up for Tuesday and Wednesday meals.

Thursdays - A hot meal will be served, plus Grab and Go meals will be available to take home or pick up for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday meals.
