Superintendent Welcome Message for NMSD Community!

Greetings North Marion Community, 

Welcome to the 2023-2024 school year and Happy First Day of School!  

It has been exciting to welcome our students back to begin a year of "Purpose and Possibility!" Staff have worked very hard to prepare for a great start and it has been wonderful to see you supporting our students and staff at our back to school events and activities! It is clear this is a community that truly supports its children! 

I am proud and grateful for the opportunity to serve children and families in North Marion through our work in schools. Helen Keller once said, “True happiness is attained by staying true to a worthy purpose." What greater purpose could there be than to teach together, to learn together, and to look for inspiration in the miracles our children produce every day.  We are so grateful for the joy they bring to us in our North Marion Schools. 

Thank you for sharing your children with us and for joining us to help them become creative and confident learners, learners that know they belong and believe in themselves and all they can do for the world. Thank you for joining us in achieving our mission of cultivating lifelong growth and living into our vision of a community engaged and unified in support of its children.
