We are thrilled to announce that on May 13, 2024 the North Marion School Board officially adopted new Science, Math, and English Language Development materials for use across our district. After an extensive review process and collaboration among educators, administrators, and community members, these materials have been carefully selected to enhance teaching and learning in our schools.
We sincerely thank the dedicated staff members who participated in the rigorous selection process. Their expertise, commitment, and thoughtful consideration ensured that the materials chosen meet the diverse needs of our students and align with our district's strategic plan. Their invaluable contributions have greatly enriched the quality of education we provide to our students, and we commend them for their hard work and dedication.
Science: The newly adopted science materials are designed to inspire curiosity, critical thinking, and scientific inquiry among our students. With engaging content and hands-on activities, these materials will empower educators to cultivate a deep understanding of scientific concepts and foster a love for discovery.
Math: Our new math materials offer comprehensive resources and instructional support to help students develop strong mathematical foundations and problem-solving skills. By providing a variety of instructional approaches and real-world applications, these materials will enable students to excel in mathematics and succeed in an increasingly complex world.
English Language Development: The adopted English language development materials are thoughtfully designed to support the language acquisition and proficiency of English learners. With a focus on language development, academic vocabulary, and language skills integration, these materials will facilitate meaningful language learning experiences for all students.
We are excited about the possibilities that these new materials bring to our classrooms and the positive impact they will have on student learning and achievement. Together, as a district community, we look forward to implementing these materials effectively and supporting our students on their educational journey. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this important process, and let's continue working together to ensure the success of every student in our district.
