Free Summer Meals 2024

FREE SUMMER MEALS PROGRAM RETURNS IN 2024 PROVIDED BY NORTH MARION SCHOOL DISTRICT

Mondays and Thursdays beginning June 24th to August 16th (no meal service on July 4th)

All children 18 and under are eligible for free meals through the federal Summer Break Meal Program.  Any child, regardless of whether or not they are enrolled in North Marion Schools, is eligible for a free meal.  No registration or ID is required.  The district has also been granted permission to distribute meals to parents when the child is not present. 

HERE'S HOW IT WILL WORK:  There are two (2) meal service sites families can visit to receive HOT Meals on Mondays and Thursdays.  Grab and Go meals will be available to pickup on non-serving days to complete the seven-day week for Tuesday, Wednesday, Friday, Saturday and Sunday meals.  Grab and Go meals contain a fruit, vegetable, grain, meat or meat substitute and a dairy item.

Mondays - A hot meal will be served, plus Grab and Go meals will be available to take home or pick up for Tuesday and Wednesday meals.

Thursdays - A hot meal will be served, plus Grab and Go meals will be available to take home or pick up for Friday, Saturday, and Sunday meals.
