School Board Position & Budget Committee Vacancy (appointed terms)

North Marion School District is seeking (1) one interested individual who is willing to serve on the School Board of Directors in Position 6.  Being appointed to your local board is a responsibility not to be taken lightly.  Board members must abide by board member code of conduct and ethics.  Board members represent all students, staff, and citizens by working with fellow board members to set policies for the good of the entire community, with priority for academic achievement for all students. School board authority rests with the entire board, not each member individually.  Decisions are made by majority vote.  Board members are the district’s vital link to the community and advocates for public education.  The appointed term will begin December 11, 2023 through June 30, 2025.
